Thomas Hogan: Technical Artist & Rigging Specialist

After graduating from Loyola Marymount University in 2021 and enhancing my skills through courses at AnimSchool, Animation Mentor, and Rigging Dojo, I embarked on a professional journey in the animation and visual effects industry. My expertise lies in rigging and technical artistry, with a solid foundation in modeling and animation.

Associate Previs Artist, Halon Entertainment (August 2022 – August 2023)

  • Rigging real-time assets for pre and post-visualization in films and television series.

  • Contributed to high-profile projects, including:

    • Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024)

    • The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (2023)

    • Atlas (2024)

    • Fly Me to the Moon (2024)

Unreal Engine Technical Artist, HEROmation (November 2023 – Present)

  • Developed a pipeline through custom Python and MEL scripts for VR video game asset optimization.

  • Retargeted animations from various sources to create a unified animation library.
